The Pipe Insertion Method (PI.I.M.) has now become a standard :NO-DIG” pipe renewal system. It is used in both municipal and industrial applications to replace Gas, Water, Sewer, Production Lines and Communication Ducts.
Pneumatic Heads use pulsating air pressure to drive them forward and burst the old pipe. A small pulling device guides the head

The process involves inserting a Pneumatic  Head  (P.H.) also known as a Bursting Tool  into an existing pipe.

Pneumantic Head

Attached to the front of the  P.H. is a Constant Tension Winch Guide Cable which guides the P.H. this shatters the old pipe while pulling into place the new larger or same size pipe into  the same level and position as the old pipe.

The new pipe is attached to the rear of the P.H.

The soil surrounding serves to absorb the vibrations created by the pneumatic heads.

Pipe fragments are pushed far enough away to prevent any damage to the new pipe
